Too shaky to use
As mentioned before, this device is very shaky. I have searched and researched for every solution, and here's what doesn't work:
Current driver
limiting to scaled portion
flat surface
no magnets nearby
only one usb device plugged in
mouse disconnected
Tried all of the above, and nothing stops the shaking.
I'm pretty pissed that this is such a crap product. Don't waste your money.
Good Entry-Level Tablet
This is definitely not a feature-rich tablet, but a starter tablet. I don't use it myself, but I bought it to give as a gift and have done further research and have a better understanding of tablets and what's available. You will have a cramped feeling when using this size tablet. Also, there are tablets now available that use a language of motions that take place above the surface of the tablet. Do your research before settling on this tablet. The good points are that the Wacom quality does shine through, and the low price can get you in the digital tablet door. I have not heard any complaints in the two months since I gave the tablet as a gift.
Buy a more recent version
I'm not sure why Amazon is still selling this tablet. When I went to Wacom to get the latest drivers I noticed that I had to dig deep to find them for this guy since there is a new version of this tablet. This tablet does work as advertised however I wish I would have done a little more research. Go over to Wacom and have a look around before you purchase especially if you've got something other than WinXP 32bit.
Bamboo (Small) Pen Tablet with Pen Only Purchase
I bought this as a favor to a friend, and almost a year after this purchase, the item still works as it worked the first day and has comptibility to work not only as a design tool, but also works as a mouse in other programs.
Very good tablet
The table was purchased, rather than for drawing or design, to replace the mouse.
Initially work very well, but it works well at times and sometimes not. I think really the fault of Windows. In Ubuntu Linux always worked excellent. In Linux is not required to install drives.
This Bamboo Pen Tablet from Wacom is highly recommended to anyone looking for a quality graphic tablet at a reasonable price.
